Mira Bay Project Updates as of 09-15-2022

“Polish the Brass and stop building aircraft Carriers”  ~T. Nargi

Staff has been doing an incredible job of “Polishing the Brass” and continues to make great strides in restoring Mira Bay to the premier community we all want and expect.

Large Project Updates:

Gas Lanterns – Work has started and will be finished 9/13
Pool area lighting –  Work starting Monday 9/12 will last 2-3 days. Minimal impact to pool operations.
Wolf Creek Playground –Install date tentatively 10/10 Start Date -Renderings below
Pool Chair Re-Slinging – Have replaced 30 straps so far about another 10 or so left to do.
Boat Lift Lighting –  Work has started

Other Project Updates:

• Railing Refinishing Project – Boat lift, clubhouse entrance, Clubhouse dock area –
• Dragon Boat Lift –Worked started September 6th.

• Gym Deep Clean –To Be Done 9/12
• Monument Signs – Seacrest Complete – Currently working on two other sets of signs.
• Sidewalk Repair –1st phase of sidewalks being worked on. Have marked the next 2nd
phase of project.
• Reserve Study – Paul Grifoni has been contacted and awaiting date for Update Reserve
Study to be completed by mid-October.
• Landings Park Parking Lot leveling – Leveling Completed week of August 29th

• Admiral Point – Leveling, edging and shells – Still need to get another yard or so of
shells.
• Sun Sails – Will be covering the pool equipment and big poppers with sun sails. Work
started September 12th

Red Tree Updates

Tree Trimming – Oak Tree trimming complete – Will be focusing on palm trees trimming and
fruit removal on the Bismark Palms.
Mulching – Will be completing as much as possible and will revisit week of 19th plan to
transition this project on what is left.
Turf Project – Still waiting on sod which is scheduled to be delivered next week. 9/12
Street Tree Program (Arborist Municipal International) – Access ended when we decided to end contract.
