In April 2021 A presentation by Park Square to the Board led to a motion by Dan Leventry, 2nd by Tim Nargi (this is not the exact motion) is to have the CDD Engineers work with the Park Square Engineers to determine what needs to be corrected with the erosion control rocks, this was approved 5-0.
This Resolution passed would be in the best interest for our Engineers to work in conjunction with Park Square in order help expedite the restoration of the Lagoon as required for Park Square to be able to convey the Lagoon to the CDD. Park Square is currently collaborating with the CDD liaison on all pending conveyances.
During the December 2024 and January 2025 CDD meetings, the board instructed its representative to begin collaborating with Park Square on the Lagoon infrastructure.
Here is a progress report:
Lagoon Infrastructure.
Surveyed all areas of Lagoon including the front 2 front entry ponds by Mirabay Blvd with the architect to assess and document storm damaged areas for the CDD engineers to incorporate into their erosion assessment report.
The data provided for Lighthouse Engineering includes linear feet of damage by each address
and the $ required to fix the damaged areas.
Once the erosion assessment report is prepared by the CDD engineers, the report will be used to
request county and state assistance in repairing the damaged areas.
