One Mira Bay

Good Day Mira Bay,

Today marks another meeting where we are here to iron out issues and find the best solutions for our community. There is not a decision that is made without regards to the budget and how it affects you. We have major expenditures that must be addressed and our main goal is to find the necessary funds without adding any additional burden to you. I am very concerned with how our money is spent and am continuously researching other ways to be as cost effective as possible without sacrificing quality and the integrity of our community. Every decision regarding community improvements affects us as a whole and we must try to work together to set aside our differences and personal feelings to find the best solution so that we might enjoy the amenities our neighborhood has to offer.

It is unfortunate that for some, the issues in this community have been a divisive factor in friendships and neighborly relationships. I know the contentiousness of the election and everything that followed caused a lot of friction where there should not have been. It continues to this day to our detriment. We are capable of so many great things (Toys for Tots) when we work together and our community is better because of it. It is my belief that until we respect each other’s opinions, even though we may not always agree, we will not be able to move forward in a constructive way. We should not let that behavior define us because we are better than that. As we move forward today, let us remember that we all want the same thing, a unified community where we have the freedom to voice our opinion without fear of repercussion. We have amazing people in this community who I have enjoyed meeting even though we do have our differences. We need to continue to have these discussions but keep in mind that at the end of the day, we are all neighbors who live in the same community.
