Hello Mira Bay,
Please excuse my absence and lack of updates. I have been in continuing education classes/labs the Gov’t is going to require from all technical and engineering personal starting next fiscal year (Oct 17) for military communication networks. We decided to take the time between contracts to take care of one of these responsibilities. One is a 2 year course all jammed into 5 days followed by more labs a ton of studying and then testing, you must pass with high grades, so that is all I have been doing. Proud to say I did pass, but thus the absence.
Envera:
So many of you may have noticed the secondary gates are gone!!?? Well for those that did not know we had Envera take over the primary gates (no, they did not control them, which led to many issues). Whatever you think of Envera, and also remember we were up against a contract deadline issue to decide to keep them or go another direction. We learned there was no time to make the switch, but we did get them to throw in a bunch of upgrades, granted we are not all happy with it, but keep in mind when we rehired them it was always understood that when their contract got to within 6 months or so we would look into alternatives, until then there is nothing to do.
Langan resigned:
Yep; I figure I can post that now since it is in the Agenda. Reason? in a nut shell; because the board moved to a design/build solution. Was there more? Don’t know, maybe we will find out at the next meeting
Rip Rap test site:
Supposedly it is done, heard about some results, but we all know about the EPC letter and that is concerning and I’ll leave it there for now since they resigned.
New Wall Maintenance Plan:
It appears we are finally getting one from Langan that I and Steve (maybe others did to) have been asking for.
Design Build RFP:
I heard from Cardno last week about it, they had a good handle on it, and it is in the August 17th Agenda under TAB 4 , The Design Criteria is on Page 193.
