Good Morning Mira Bay,
We have received emails from our neighborhood watch coordinator about the Admiral Pointe incidents. For those that do not know who that is: Christine Nargi, so that name should be familiar!!!??? so, YES!!, of course I hear about it first hand!! as you can imagine!!
Our Neighborhood watch coordinator has done an excellent job working with Hillsborough County Sheriff on these incidents, she has taken the time via phone, email and in person! almost immediately after she was informed to notify Rizzetta and the CDD.
The gates are owned by the CDD, the gate were originally locked down 24/7, Cal Atlantic made a plea about access for builders, inspectors etc. so the CDD gave CalAtlantic a chance and opened up the Gates. Since we now have these issues Christine took the time to email the President of CalAtlantic, who along with Newland, as previously mentioned, wants the gates open to assist their builders, she informed them that this is a problem and must be changed and corrected to a secure system for access.
Christine also learned through her investigation that the sales rep at Admiral Pointe is not sharing this information with her superiors or other sales staff, and it has been confirmed that the general Contractor for the building sites was not made aware of any of these incidents. Additionally, she learned that all homeowners who purchased in Admiral Pointe were required to sign a form called the “Gated Community Rider” informing residents that the gates would be kept open for home sales and construction. Whether all residents did or not is now known.
So what is being done about it?
Once we know more we will update you!
