Basketball Court update

Good morning Mira Bay!

We have progress, seen and unseen.  First the unseen:

In order to move forward there are items that need to be taken care of

•  1 BRAZILIAN PEPPER TREE REMOVAL
•  CUT THE ROOTS OF AN OAK TREE AND PALM TREE
• INSTALL CONCRETE STRIP – 100’ LONG BY 12”-14’ WIDE BY 30” DEEP
•  MOVE TWO FOXTAIL PALMS TO THE TOOL SHED AREA
• TRIM OAK AND BRAZILIAN PEPPER TREES BACK 10 FEET ALONG MITIGATION AREA FROM GULF AND SEA BLVD. TO THE CORNER OF THE BASKETBALL COURTS TO ACCOMMODATE THE NEW FENCE

All these items have been signed off to be taken care of. this is to ensure the new surface for the court does not get compromised from the tree root system.

The seen

The  six (6) inches of base material has gone down and leveled. (pictured).

and the marking completed for the channels in red and if you notice the yellow flags , that is from the gas company, who had to be contacted to come out and mark their lines so the contractors don’t inadvertently cut one.  For those unaware, this is standard practice when digging in areas that may have ,water,gas, electric lines etc,  buried and it adds time to the progress of any project
