We head into Memorial Day weekend, so let us reflect on the true meaning of the Day.
Memorial Day is a day of remembrance; a day to remember all those people who lost their lives while serving in the Armed Force of United States of America. It is a federal holiday in USA which was initially celebrated as Decoration Day since 1868 after the end of Civil War. It was a time when everyone decorated the graves of all those who lost their lives in Union war. Every year since then, this day is celebrated on the last Monday in the month of May. Therefore, Memorial Day 2022 will fall on 30th May.
While we all enjoy the Federal Holiday to spend with our friends and families; please remember that Freedom always comes with a heavy price….. All of us owe a debt to all those heroes who fought for our country, to whom we could never repay for their bravery and dedication. Through the decades we lost so many soldiers of our nation who fought to guard our freedom going all the way back to 1776 and then some…. Though they will never return, they will always stay alive in our memories…..
