“First they came”

“First they came”,

We all say things in the heat of the moment we may regret or apologies for, but when those with authority put it out as an official decree, then do it again in writing is reprehensible,

First they came for the _________, and I did not speak out—
Then they came for the __________, and I did not speak out—
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

but what is worse is those that condone it…..

In less than 24 hours……There are those actually attempting to downplay a public official calling residents terrorists;  After all that has happened in this country by terrorists,  just to advance an agenda for their political purposes, is beyond the pale.

There was a time we all would have been deeply shocked by some egregious behavior on the part of our public officials, I guess there are those that are less shocked when it recurs.  So much so, that now it is commented on by those, that this was unprofessional of me to have pointed this out.  To what degree will the sympathy for this type of ideology and ultimately active support for, and participation in go?  Threats, name-calling, intimidation by stalking, vehicle following, attempted physical altercations, attempts to get one fired from their job?   Oh wait too late…. All and more have already been tried.

…..And yet, Originally denied, then downplayed, and misrepresented by everyone involved in the echo chamber on the MB Hatebook page, it continues with those attempting to downplay or disguise it here as well. There appears to be some willingness to condone such actions, at least in the abstract form of verbal approval. They are now enforcing at various levels their support of such behavior; one can surmise as even to reward or to sanction this questionable egregious behavior; (condoning calling residents of Mira Bay terrorists and vilifying those that call out such questionable behavior).

What kind of person condones such actions from their government officials?

They should remember the Poem “First_they_came”_ …the subsequent purging of chosen targets, group after group … ……..then what?

September 11th (Towers, Pentagon, Shanksville), Fort Hood shooting, San Bernardino attack, Orlando nightclub shooting, 2017 New York City truck attack, Vaughan Foods beheading incident, Boston Marathon bombing , the list can go on

As Christine and I lost friends family in such attacks; we would like to offer our condolences to all those who lost their Family, friends and loved ones as well.
