It has been a very long time since I have added specific agenda items to hopefully be implemented by the Board.
The following are the 3 topics I personally added to the February Agenda and the results .
- Landscaping:
I asked the Board to concur (Passed) in a directive to have Staff work with Red Tree (our Landscaper) to recommend priorities/scope of work that is feasible and provide those cost estimates to the board for each iteration of replacement(s) (adding) over time and for next year’s budget as well. so we can make Mira Bay Landscaping whole again.
- Pool Lighting / Audio System:
- My Motion (Passed 5-0) for: District Engineer to work with an Electrical Engineer, NTE $5K, for scope of work and cost estimate for Main Pool lighting for night time swimming.
- I asked the Board to concur (Passed) Directing Staff to determine scope of work and cost estimates to replace and/or upgrade the entire Audio system including the pool area.
- Harbor Bay CDD District Staff Access:
Considering Issues and complaints need to be addressed within a systematic and orderly mechanism; Impromptu visits should be discouraged, thus in the best interest of all parties
My Motion (Passed 3-2, Leventry, Wick, Nargi = Aye; Maurer, Nesse-Wyssbrod = Nay) to set policy for our Staff to allow our District to maximize both Staff Effectiveness & Public Tax Dollars.

- Vesta to implement their own internal policies for meetings with residents for their Staff personnel.
- Residents wanting a meeting with the District Managers, District Counsel and District Engineer must make a request through the District Manager.
