Roving Patrol: Part 2

Two part message to Mira bay about my proposal for a Roving Patrol

Part 2: I will be proposing the addition of a Roving Patrol to the entire neighborhood at the next meeting.

The August CDD agenda is out that includes Security as part of our discussion during the shade session, we must conduct it there first as there are considerations that cannot be discussed openly to protect the integrity of the system or systems to be put in place.

The question for all MiraBay  residents in dealing with these challenges is how do we find solutions that are forward thinking and have positive outcomes for all, instead of adopting reactionary efforts that give up long-term sustainability for short-term gain but all within our current budget.

Some cursory research has found several communities around us that are currently using  a roving patrol, we learned how they use it (various ways, IE timing) and their results  all seem positive for the Security of their communities.  I currently believe it is necessary not to add to our (CDD) oversight of adding more responsibility to our management in terms of researching for hiring personnel and purchasing equipment, thus my concept (Part 1) and from the research I now prefer to use a licensed agency,  as a Turn Key Operation, that is already well established.

Roving Patrol Proposal

The current budget has a line item of $75K for SECURITY, which is separate from Envera.

My plan is to have both Envara and the Roving Patrol to work hand in hand, the technology is there, keep in mind should we have to add equipment/technology, we have the $80k on account for add-ons and upgrades.

I will be motioning for a Roving patrol, and request an RFP to go out to such agencies that can do this operation.

Note: first indications I am learning are that the $75K will cover it, but we would need to see the proposals first.

IS this the answer??  well doing nothing is definitely not an answer; I believe this is a step in the right direction that will not add to the budget. Considering the other communities on how well they are doing using a Roving Patrol, we should see an improvement right away and if we find we need more action then we can take that next step.

Again; doing nothing Is not an option. I hope you all get behind me on this proposal.
