Part 3 of Mira Bay unique Security situation.
The system MiraBay has is a fixed system, IE it is stationary and not everything can be covered. It does have its value and yes its shortcomings. Thus, I understand the call for live guards and police presence, the last 2 topics I wrote about were related to both of those and what we would have to go through in order to make it work. (please review those)
Now here we are with a real world event: Crime was committed within our neighborhood earlier this week. 5 suspects were caught on various cameras up and down Skimmer Drive, including yours truly, attempting to break into vehicles etc. Mira Bay also made the Hillsborough County Police Web Pages over this incident.

We do have an update for you; Christine Nargi , MiraBay Neighborhood Watch Coordinator, heard from the detective assigned to the case, that he is working on some leads from evidence collected here in Mira Bay. The detective also said he worked with Envera, ( which he said is very helpful), which provided valuable video of the suspects.
The Detective shared this as well:
“I believe these guys are going to be from the city as we have had groups of city kids, who know to target your neighborhood as unfortunately people still leave their vehicles unlocked and leave valuables within their vehicles.”
Here are stills of the suspects:

Based on the detectives comments, we know that Envera worked as it is intended to do, however without our neighbors footage, we would not necessarily have known about the perpetrators till more time had gone by, thus the valuable evidence collected by Hillsborough Sheriff may not have happened.
It is my desire to augment our Envera system by introducing a roving patrol, I have brought this up many months ago that we needed to do something. Considering our budget shortfall this possible solution would be affordable by merely using already budgeted funding from another area already earmarked for security that has produced little to no results.
The Roving Patrol along with the Envera system acting together in unison would be a very useful tool in deterring and even stopping would be criminal activity at little to no extra cost.
