Mira Bay Toys for Tots campaign of 2016 was an overwhelming success; our community donated over 9 boxes of toys last year!!!  The generosity of this community is extraordinary, when the Marines accepted our donation last year they were surprised and pleased with the donation. They commented that typically about 3 boxes would be collected form a community of our size.  Mira Bay….. we have a lot to be proud of by tripling their expectations.

 

This years 2017 Toys for Tots drive will begin on November 6th.

 

The United States Marines will pay a visit to Mira Bay on Saturday December 2nd at 10 am to accept our donations this year.

If you wish to donate there is a TFT box located in the Mira Bay clubhouse & Gym.  The donations accepted are a new, unwrapped toy suitable for children of all ages.

 

MISSION STATEMENT:
The Marine Toys for Tots program collects new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distributes those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community. We know from the smiles on children’s faces and from the grateful appreciation of their parents that the simple gift of a new toy can make a tremendous difference in the life of a child.
Hope is the key, and hope is what the Marine Corps Reserve is giving to needy children of America through the Toys for Tots program.
The Marine Toys for Tots team works very hard to make the campaign a success, but we could never do it without the help of concerned citizens and business leaders. We rely on local businesses and organizations for assistance in a number of areas, including volunteers, drop off locations, hosting events, and distribution. We are looking forward to working with all of you this year to make this the most successful year ever!!! We have several new box sponsors and volunteer groups so organization is the key to success!!
