The pool timelines are as follows:

 

Pool Resurfacing – Proposal was approved at the last meeting.  Work to begin mid-March 2018.  Cardno currently working with the contractor to get a schedule which will outline the time the pool will be required to be closed.  Initially the contractor said the pool would be closed for 60-90 days.  We think 90 is conservative.  Should be able to do it in 60 days, depending on the weather of course.  We are hearing  from the pool resurfacing contractor that the pool will be closed for approximately only 6 weeks; Weather is still a factor.

 

Pool Slide – Proposal was approved at the last meeting.  Cardno is currently finalizing the schedule but it looks like the second week of November for the start of work.  The timeframe for the repairs is approximately 6 weeks.  The pool will have to be shut down for approximately 2-3 days due to necessary repairs at the end of the slide where it enters the water.

 

Pool Tower Repairs – Board approved up to $40,000 for the tower repair at the last meeting.  Cardno is meeting with contractors today to get pricing.

We have coordinated with the pool slide contractor to share costs for the scaffolding with the tower contractor.  The work on the tower will happen around the same time as the slide repairs.  Once we get a contractor on board we will have a meeting with the pool slide contractor and the tower contractor to finalize schedule.
