Viable !!

Mira Bay Neighbors

Well it has been proven……
Foundation Masters met with Cardno and Langan to go over their drawings and BOTH Cardno and Langan found FM designs workable, viable and will function as a permanent resolution.

FM designs presented at the meeting are a lesser cost for either of their options compared to the Rip Rap. The riprap bid that came in, and can be found in the June 15th agenda, is bid at $607 linear foot PLUS we must add the engineering costs, another $150-$200 per foot.  FM’s rates are  $575 for their scalable S3 design and $750 for their S4 full-wall with enhanced drainage .  Those FM cost figures includes their engineering, (they are turn key operation), they also have a higher safety factor of 1.95 to 1, and even a 10 year limited warranty.

Everyone wanted a “cheaper” fix, well these both are less expensive, viable and permanent.

We are living with a massively failed Infrastructure in our community and it is threatening to jeopardize your greatest financial asset; your homes.   We have heard as much as possibly 20% loss of property values already and that number keeps climbing.  If we continue down the road we are on with this higher cost temporary fix, Mira Bay quite possibly fails, and it will affect the entire Apollo Beach area for years to come..

It is NOW past time to submit a proper RFP’s  and let the Marine construction professionals out there bring their technical expertise and specialized capability to Mira Bay.  It is now also time for the residents to start rallying around the proper fix (which is more cost effective now and for the future) that will bring Mira Bay back to the elite waterfront community that it was designed and intended to be as well as to where property values should be.

Foundation Masters designs will eliminate all the navigation issues, save the residents money, fulfill the Newland agreement, probably stop the lawsuit ( I cannot speak for them) and all other unfunded liabilities that have been discussed, and proven true.

Please come to the CDD meeting on June 15th and learn about the new and viable, non-intrusive to the canals, effective solution at a less cost for ALL of you in Mira Bay!!
